Apprenticeship Graduation Ceremony | 2 December 2024

On 2 December 2024, we proudly celebrated the achievements of our graduates. Eleven graduates attended the event, joined by Graham Wareham, Chief Executive; Aruna Mehta, Chair; Jo Lynch, Chief Nursing Officer; Cheryl Newsome, Chief People Officer. Over the next two pages, you'll find the inspiring comments shared by the graduates' managers .

Alex has been part of the COO team since 2023 and I have very much valued Alex’s drive and commitment to her study. This has often meant a lot of out of hours work and at times when day to day work and other pressures have made it very difficult. Nevertheless, she has stuck with it and to her credit she has achieved great results – she has every reason to be proud of her achievement as am I.

I have seen and heard how important becoming a Nursing Associate is to her and the attitude to put theory into practice and ensure she is delivering a high standard of care, both Physical and Mental Health. I have also seen her leadership shine through, and she is not afraid to always place the person central to everything she does in her role. She is a valuable asset to the Trust.
